"A fantastic stay overall at Gora Kadan. Our room was impeccable with a lovely balcony that featured a small Japanese garden. The room assistant was attentive and helpful. The kaiseki meals were presented in lovely dishes with sophisticated design, were tasty and quite elaborate, each meal was truly a feast for the eyes and taste buds. "The staff of Gora Kansuiro is a highlight of this ryokan. Everyone showed above and beyond hospitality, from the moment we even stepped into the parking lot! "I had an amazing stay at Marroad. On the outside, it looks a bit outdated, but the interiors are well maintained. I absolutely loved my room — it had been renovated, everything looked new, and it was both spacious and cozy.
The staff were very kind and attentive.
Another nice thing to mention is that they offer a free shuttle service from Gora Station to the hotel; you just have to call upon arrival."

Amazing modern ryokan with private open air onsen on balcony! Spectacular views of the mountains all the way to the ocean! Great service from friendly and accommodating staff serving in room meals! Large public bath in basement with sauna and free massage chairs!
Amazing dinner in the hotel restaurant. The Wagyu beef was melt in your mouth fantastic. Great wine. The private onsen was perfect and so relaxing at the end of the night. Super comfortable bed and spacious room. Wish I had booked two nights. My only complaint is the coffee in the room is more espresso style and I love a big hearty cup of coffee in the morning. The hotel doesn’t offer coffee in the lobby which is a bummer. We didn’t add breakfast just because we don’t usually do breakfast....

The mineralized onsens feel fantastic... so much so, I was melting straight into myself! All the tension from long walks in Tokyo, gone in a sultry soak. You get to pick two bath times too -- one in the evening, one in the morning -- in one of three baths (one indoor, one outdoor, and one I forget).

The food was phenomenal, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. The room was very spacious and had a wonderful view. We got to experience two different onsen and both were perfect to relax in and the second had a wonderful night sky view. We honeymooned here and could not be happier.
Incredible place to stay. Sadly, I only got to stay one night, but I would spend so much more time here if I could have. Gorgeous location and building, wonderful onsen, and outstanding staff. Favorite experience of my entire trip to Japan!
Highly recommended, I love the welcome service at the Bar, the breakfast, the room and the service.. location is very convinient.. but I suggest you better drop by the convinient store near the station if you need some extra stuff before you proceed to the hotel..because there is non close to the hotel. Very clean and nice property. Multiple bus lines pick you up directly out front. Fast walk to the ropeway and that takes you to owakudani and lake ashii. We did not try onsen
The service was excellent. It had the feel of a traditional ryokan with meals served in your room. There are no elevators so it might be difficult for guests with mobility issues.
Very nice, clean hotel in the charming Gora neighborhood and although it is right next to the train station you will never hear the crowds or the train. The staff is very friendly and speak excellent English. Our private room for 4 with private bath was roomy for our family of 2 adults and 2 teens. The breakfast for 800 yen is quite good and the onsen is clean and therapeutic!
