"A fantastic stay overall at Gora Kadan. Our room was impeccable with a lovely balcony that featured a small Japanese garden. The room assistant was attentive and helpful. "A lovely stay at a family run ryokan very near Gora station. It is not luxurious accommodation by any means but the staff are very sweet and kind. The place is a little rustic but the food is amazing!! Actually they could cut down on a few dishes and it would still be too much to eat! The private onsen was also much appreciated as there is no shower in the room. All in all, I had a relaxing time in Gorakan. "

"Loved the amazing hospitality we received from all the staff members. The place is clean and quiet, matching its ambiance. The food (both breakfast and dinner), tea ceremony and drinks were incredible and an absolute culinary experience. The onsen in the room was perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. Walked from Suiun to The Hakone Open-Air Museum easily with the best Lawsons along the way. "I had an amazing stay at Marroad. On the outside, it looks a bit outdated, but the interiors are well maintained. I absolutely loved my room — it had been renovated, everything looked new, and it was both spacious and cozy. The staff were very kind and attentive. Another nice thing to mention is that they offer a free shuttle service from Gora Station to the hotel; you just have to call upon arrival."

"Great stay if you want to explore the Izu peninsula and unwind after exploring Tokyo. Good access to transportation to the Hakone Loop and other nature spots. Wonderful public bath to relax after a day of exploring. Rooms were designed well and had a lot of nice amenities."

"The Hotel Fujiyama was a real treat. A large, stately hotel for the ages, just oozing with charm. Gardens, lounge area and dining areas were delightful. Gym and pool were well equipped, new and clean. The on-site Onsen was absolutely fantastic. Overall, a tranquil and relaxing stay, which completely transported us."

"If you are wanting the best Ryokqn experience, stay here. Private dining is such a lovely experience. Loved the Yukata and pajamas that were provided. I stayed in a terrace room with private onsen and it was truly one of the most amazing experiences. It was only two Nights but I didn’t want to leave. I still feel the peacefulness from my stay and can’t wait to go back and tell all my friends about this Ryokan. They have private shuttle which I took the open air museum. Hakone and Gora is a beautiful area. I didn’t want to leave."

"The hôtel is wonderful! Every detail has been carefully considered and crafted using high-quality materials. The lounge, with snacks and drinks, adds to the hotel experience. Unfortunately, the dining room left us with mixed feelings regarding the dining experience. We made requests that were not honored. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, the staff's attitude changed, and our dining room experience became unpleasant. It's a real shame because, although the hotel is extraordinary, I would hesitate to book again."
