Loved loved loved! Wished I had booked this for the entire trip and probably will book again if I return. The home was thoughtfully curated and exactly as pictured. Very scenic drive and quiet neighborhood. Instructions were straightforward with check-in/route/guidelines and host was very responsive. Note: if you are using public transport and have more than a back pack, I suggest catching a ride from the drop off point to the home.
Amazing dinner in the hotel restaurant. The Wagyu beef was melt in your mouth fantastic. Great wine. The private onsen was perfect and so relaxing at the end of the night. Super comfortable bed and spacious room. Wish I had booked two nights. My only complaint is the coffee in the room is more espresso style and I love a big hearty cup of coffee in the morning. The hotel doesn’t offer coffee in the lobby which is a bummer. We didn’t add breakfast just because we don’t usually do breakfast....
Staying in this hotel was one of the most amazing experiences during my trip.
The room was spacious and even had a restroom, which was a nice surprise. Although the rooms were marked as smoking (perhaps by mistake), there was absolutely no odor.
The kaiseki dinner was incredible, and the breakfast was great. Used the indoor onsen, which was nice and clean. Sleeping on the tatami floors wasn't very comfortable, but one night was okay, and I got the experience that I was looking for.

This was the best experience I’ve ever had at a resort or hotel. The facilities are in immaculate condition. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and dinners were world class. If I had known how wonderful our stay would be I would have booked several more nights. Im very grateful for a wonderful stay.
Always enjoy my stay at this property but was disappointed this time with breakfast. They no longer serve drinks to order instead a big thermos for coffee and tea were on the counter, of course taste was subpar. The manager saw my surprise at this and offered drinks to order but I believe this should be a minimum standard for a brand like Hyatt Regency. In my humble opinion, you don’t need curry in the morning buffet but you should offer quality coffee and tea to kick off the day pleasantly.
Very nice, clean hotel in the charming Gora neighborhood and although it is right next to the train station you will never hear the crowds or the train. The staff is very friendly and speak excellent English. Our private room for 4 with private bath was roomy for our family of 2 adults and 2 teens. The breakfast for 800 yen is quite good and the onsen is clean and therapeutic!
I loved this hotel, wish I could stay longer. Lovely common areas to relax both indoors and outdoors, free drinks and snacks, alcoholic at night, as well as a lovely array of desserts in the evening. The mineralized onsens feel fantastic... so much so, I was melting straight into myself! All the tension from long walks in Tokyo, gone in a sultry soak. You get to pick two bath times too -- one in the evening, one in the morning -- in one of three baths (one indoor, one outdoor, and one I forget).

Serene and beautiful. The food was delicious…each presentation a work of art. To be able to go to the dining for breakfast and for dinner in the pajamas, that were provided fresh each day, was a treat and added to the R & R. The hot springs soaking tub on the balcony of our room was pure heaven.
