It was an off beat location but a completely private compound with gated security to enter! The front desk staff were very helpful and spoke English but no one else was English speaking making it difficult to order food and drinks but we made it work! My stay at Miramar by Windsor Copacabana was outstanding. The staff was professional, friendly, and welcoming, which made the whole experience feel warm and personal. The restaurant was a highlight of my trip — breakfast was absolutely delicious and the perfect way to start the day, and dinner in the evening was just as memorable, both for the food and the atmosphere. The hotel itself is excellent. As soon as you step outside you’re risking your life. Filthy dirty, loaded with homeless people doing very obscene things on the street, lots of beggars.

Yoo2 Rio felt like our home for 12 days in Rio and simply enjoyed everything! I can say that our hotel room offers one of the best views in Rio! Best place to stay in Rio! Breakfast was perfect and the rooftop view was outstanding. Via the concierge, we booked a tour to see Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf and it was well worth every Rial!
This was an amazing hotel, within walking distance to the US Embassy which was the purpose of the trip.
