Here's a polished review that includes the room upgrade: > I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I especially loved the rooftop area—it was a great place to relax and enjoy the view. The breakfast was also very good, with a nice selection of food. As an added bonus, we were upgraded to a better room, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others.

6/10 Good

The copacabana in general is old, and also this hotel shows it. While we received an ocean view room, the paintwork and chalking showed it abuse by time. I would rate this the same as a mid tier European hotel in France or Italy. The breakfast was good and the bellman was helpful. Would I stay here again? Yes…but only if I needed to stay at the copacabana. We stayed at Ipanema earlier and that is our personal preference.

Oceanfront room with great views of Copacabana beach. This hotel is at the slow end, so lighter traffic and less crowded.

Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Pool small but adequate. Beautiful view from the rooftop. Breakfast had plenty of choice, but quite expensive if you just want something light.
