My stay was outstanding!
Excellent personnel without exception! Specially Carol at the reception desk. Excellent buffet breakfast with many excellent choices. Elevator is a bit slow, but the reason is that most people use it at the same time. My room was huge, excellent WiFi and cable tv. Mini fridge is not new but it works fine!
Planning to go back soon.

We just returned from a ten day stay at the Monte Pascoal. We had a full ocean view with a lovely balcony. We slept very well with the great air conditioning in a room that was basic but clean and comfortable. Always hot water and good water pressure. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and tasty. Staff couldn't have been nicer. We took advantage of the World Cup amenities and several nearby bars and restaurants. Price was definitely high, because of the World Cup but overall we were very happy. ...

Hotel Villa Bahia is beautiful! It is an old mansion that's been renovated and turned into a hotel. We stayed in the "Cochin" room (all the rooms have names instead of numbers and come with old fashioned keys/locks that are most likely original). The room is basically a duplex suite. We are two U.S. citizens with a second home across the bay from Salvador. We have been observing, from the outside, progress that has been made in the refurbishment of this Art Deco hotel, so conveniently located in the historical heart of the city. Restaurants and bars are a walking distance. Awesome view of the beach. Breakfast was ok. It is dangerous at night in the area after all restaurants and bars are closed. Something to be mindful. But overall everything was great.
It was centered to almost anything you’d want to do in Bahia. Shopping, dining, hitting the beach. Great location and well maintained. There was always security there as well, but the area itself felt safe anyways. I had a great experience here.
