For us “oldies” stepping into a bath for a shower is never ideal, BUT apart from that minor issue, our stay was PERFECT. Starting with the lovely warm welcome from the helpful, young lady at reception through to the rest of our stay could not be faulted. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was a good size and the locality was great.

A beautiful location with beach access from the property and several choices of accommodation. Agnes Water is not a large place, dining options are not plentiful, but are good quality. There are two small supermarkets and a butcher in the central part of Agnes Water.

Motel rooms are on the main road, can be noisy. Restaurant was only open a few days a week. Few places to eat in town, mainly fish & chips, one Thai, an RSL and a few cafe's.

Sandcastles 1770 is in a great location - right on the beach. Unfortunately, my room wasn't clean - satay sauce spilt on the floor in front of the fridge and dead bugs on the floor and window sills. The bathroom smelt musty. I mentioned these things to the receptionist when I checked out, but her only response was to say I should have complained earlier.

Disappointing

Location was great and that’s where the good news ends. There was no reception office open for the entire 2 night/ 3 day stay, so couldn’t get extra towels or toilet paper (only one roll in room). There were also no pool towels and the pool was hot and very dirty. It appeared that all that had been done in the room after the last guests left was new bin liners and bedding. The shower was full of sand and mouldy, sand on the floor of the room, dust and torn up toilet paper on the window sill and last guests belongings still in bedside drawer. The cupboard doors did not slide and had to be lifted to access the space. Girl in the restaurant was very rude when we asked about booking a table and when we enquired about takeaway she said we’ll have to see if we’re too busy! Yes, we knew our room was called ‘budget’ but it was $230 a night and we at least expected it to be clean.

Happy with property but housekeeping need to check cutlery for cleanliness as there was a dirty plate and guests required to wash up in bathroom sink. Also need a bigger rubbish bin

I booked an overnight stay through Wotif and was genuinely excited about my trip, but I was quite disappointed upon arrival. The fridge and microwave were in a disgusting state, and the room itself felt stuffy and uncomfortable. On top of that, the lighting in the room was very poor — definitely not suitable if you needed to study or use a computer at night. Out of four small lights, one wasn’t working, which made the room even dimmer. The price for the "studio" is nearly the same as the Garden View Studio, which is absolutely ridiculous. They call it "budget-friendly," yet charge $200 per night — for that amount, I expected much better accommodation. I'm sure the response I’ll receive here will be similar to what I already heard from the admin team — they went on about how they supposedly differentiate between the various room types and the beachfront views, etc., which simply isn't true. I found their explanation dismissive and unhelpful.
