Cute little chalet, easy check in. Clean bed, nice kitchenette. Not too far from Christchurch, great launching point for Lake Tekapo, Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, and Wanaka. Can walk to downtown/restaurants, a park with old machinery just across the road kids might like.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The check in was very easy. It was a great location for our activities. We were not expecting anything special and that is what we got so we were fine with the stay over all. It is a cabin after all.

It's a nice place for hiking/visiting Aoraki/Mount Cook national park. While it's about 45 minute drive from the park it's much less expensive than staying in the park. The Mountain Chalets Motel is well maintained and has a full kitchen.

Breaking our journey from Dunedin to Christchurch with the idea we’d drive up to Mt Cook after check in. Had a few housekeeping issues which we brought to their attention, so hopefully they are resolved. Friendly helpful staff, comfy bed. Bathrooms need a bit of updating. Heating good.

Conveniently located near food and the main road to head out of Twizel. Appreciated the kitchenette with a kettle and refrigerator. Quiet and had what I needed. Wifi was very poor. Only briefly early morning was it ok and then it was so slow nothing would load.

We so appreciated the location and having our own kitchenette. There was coffee in unit and parking right in front of our chalet. Lots to love! Our problem was with the beds, which are in desperate need of replacement. None of us slept well.
