Positives: great location to town, bike routes and across the street from Lake Huron. Also the room was clean. Breakfast included and great front porch to watch the sunset.
Negatives: The room we stayed did not look like the photos from the website. Was rather small and we heard everything from neighboring rooms and the hallway, and i mean EVERYTHING, if you know what I mean! I know itās Mackinaw Island and so prices are outrageous, but I guess I was expecting more for $650 a night. Also, pool area was a big stainless steel sink for a hot tub (no pool). One more thing; many people hang around the front porch and drink themselves into a stupor and become loud and obnoxious. Iām betting one of them was responsible for setting off the inn fire alarm at 4am in which we had to evacuate!
Nice inn near downtown and in walking distance of all restaurants. Bike rental was close by. 2nd floor porch was nice to watch passersby while enjoying fudge or a pizza! Breakfast choices were ok but breakfast at Watercolor Cafe across the street was much better!
The Inn is a lovely old Victorian with a great location on Lakeshore Ave just enough removed from the main drag to bring some peace but close enough for convenience. The room was comfortable and charming, and the verandeh was a wonderful place to relax and read or people watch.
This property was the perfect location. Right on main Street but out of the hustle and bustle of all the shopping but close enough for an easy walk. Very quaint and comfortable property. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful!
Service is non existent. This hotel felt that there is no need to provide any services. Very curt and blunt front desk, rude and indifferent. Do not prepay this hotel since they will not provide any change or adjustment regardless of ANY circumstances. There are many other accommodations on the island that provide courteous and accommodating service.
This hotel was vey nice colonial style. The rooms were very clean. Staff was very friend and helpful. I needed a walkin shower for my aunt thats in a wheelchair and the front desk made it possible. Would recommend to anyone.
