I was booked into another hotel and made a last minute reservation Pablo and Pablo, who basically manage the hotel, are the most professionl, ooutstanding, and friendliest people you will met. This was the best place I could have chosen for my week long visit to Valparaiso! Set atop a small hill a mile south of Sotomayor Square the guest house is in a more quiet neighborhood. This area is convenient for visiting the UNESCO areas, but much more peaceful and safe for walking around. This was the trip of a lifetime and we could not have picked a better place to stay, especially for the price. We were a little skeptical at first because it was a little farther from the actual downtown, but it was a pretty easy 15 minute walk to get to everything, which also made it quite peaceful and relaxing.
