"This was our first visit to the Peppermill hotel and the casino. I was surprised with the mobile check in kiosks that they had and found them interesting especially if there was a long line for checking in. The place is pretty large and if you’re carrying a lot of luggage or anything up to your room, knowing exactly where to go is important so you don’t walk any more than needed. Luckily when I checked in, there was a wonderful gentleman near the kiosk that saw me carrying a ice chest that was heavy and he saw my room number when I asked him how much further it was and how to get there. He went above and beyond to take it upon himself to go around the back of the desk and tell me I’m gonna try to find you a room that’s closer. As he was doing this, I asked if there was something maybe on a higher floor if possible and he was able to find me a room only three doors down from the elevator on a higher floor, and I was extremely grateful. The rooms are very comfortable and elegantly decorated. The bathroom has tons of counter space and a wonderful, large walk-in shower. There was a coffee machine, a desk area, a large padded bench to put your suitcase on and a small closet with mirrors, and they had some great toiletries that were really nice as well. I didn’t get a coupon package for any discounts while we were there which I saw later that the resort fee which is around $53 included a valuable coupon book which I never found in the room or elsewhere. "

"After a concert Sunday night, returned to Casino at 10:30ishpm. THERE IS NO FOOD AVAILALBE AT ALL - told that all restaurants were closed, no vending machines, no snack shop, nothing. In fact, there was one vending machine with White Castle burgers or breakfast sandwich, and front desk didn't know about it (just around the corner and visible from front desk). A casino ... with no food available. And, the good steak restaurant is ONLY OPEN Thur - weekend. Not open at all Mon - Wed. Room was 80 degrees in summer and heat was on when we arrived in August. Didn't cool down to lower 70s for about 24 hours. Cleaning service every-toher-day and only if you make an appointment. It was fine with no service for 4 days, 3 sets of towels and 2 people."

"Good place to stay for the price. Friendly staff. Slight “old hotel” smell which we got used to after a little while. Not a big deal though. We would stay again. Decent casino and food! "

"Was a little hesitant about staying here after reading reviews. But i have to say it was tremendous as it always has been in the past!! When we hot married in Lake Tahoe 39 years ago we stayed here, it was Caesars then. We have continued to return here and it never disappoints! The only complaint i would have is that there is NO room service!! Common!! We had an upgrade because of our Vip status, the room did not disappoint!! Beautiful view of the lake and mountains!!"
