Awesome. The hotel previously was a Ritz, dating from the early 1900's, so you are surrounded by elegance. This is the only hotel we've ever stayed in where we were given a personal tour of the facilities. Our hotel room was extremely comfortable, with a small balcony overlooking the street with French doors that opened. There was no traffic noise at night. This property in the Eixample was just what we wanted and needed. Quick walk to Gran Via and Passeig de Gracia as well as Metro stations (Urquinaona is closest). We also found more than enough to eat short walks away with some great tapas stops. We walked to Placa de Catalunya and La Rambla very easily.

Apartments 64 is a wonderful place to stay while enjoying your trip to Barcelona. It is in the perfect location for shopping and dining- several restaurants and shops close by. It is also conveniently located within walking distance of many of the historical sites, but if you prefer taking a taxi, there is a taxi stand just out front. 1. Hotel: Well appointed with nice interiors. Our room was a duplex suite with a terrace. The room itself is slightly small but the experience is big. Nice lighting and 1 1/2 bathroom and a safe. The terrace was lovely- morning breakfast with a view of the Grand via is totally worth spending the extra buck. Would certainly recommend spending the extra buck and going for the duplex suite if you're here for honeymoon/relaxation/or just a couples vacation.

Just loved this hotel. Its a bit austere if you don't like modern but plenty of amenities, like bathrobes, slippers and even a FREE mini bar with soft drinks and beer. From the room you could see the top of one of Gaudi buildings on the next block just around the corner. Expensive high end stores to gawk at and beautiful architecture everywhere. It has a pool and spa area. I highly recommend the buffet breakfast it is a taste treat. Behind the hotel is a courtyard which is served by the bar....

Our front desk clerk was adorable and so welcoming. She was always attentive to our needs. Loved the location and loved our room. Quiet and cozy! Loved having the market next door, that was a surprise to our stay. Would stay again on our next visit to Barcelona!
Old fashion hotel as most of places in the old continent. It is a quiet/safe place, breakfast was better than expected. Staff was helpful, respectful, nice. we travel as a family of 4 staying 5 night, Definitely next time we come we will look for the same place.

Tips: If you are using "hair conditioner" bring by yourself. They only provide "shampoo" and "shower gel".
I loved staying there. Our rooms could have used more storage space, like a dresser. It would also been helpful if they had a laundry service or could refer us to one nearby.
These are but minor tweaks. We loved the place and would recommend it to anyone.
Casa Mathilda was a great find! Very clean and cute, perfect for a stay in Barcelona. Gracia neighborhood is great, within walking distance of Sagrada Familia and Casa Batllo. Would absolutely stay here again.
