The hotel was great! The rooftop bar is awesome and the food up there is actually really good too. We picked this hotel because it is centrally located and allowed us to walk to most of the things we wanted to see. Having a view of Casa Batllo from our window was an unexpected perk. My only complaint is that the bathroom smelled musty, we asked the desk about it and they sent someone up to clean it which didnt really solve the problem. Fortunately it was nice enough that we left the balcony doors open for our entire stay to keep it aired out. I would definitely stay at this hotel again or any other Roommate Hotel during my travels.

Location was great. We had a standard room which was very small. No room on the floor to open a case. Check in was ok, room wasn’t ready so left bags with staff in the luggage room. We returned a few hours later to be told by staff that ‘somehow’ someone had got into the luggage room and went through guests bags. Luckily none of our items were taken as we had removed all our valuables and cash but someone’s else items were taken and we found that items had been stuffed into our bags that weren’t ours. This massively reduced our confidence in the safety of the hotel. We were only booked for one night so we stayed but if we were booked for longer we would have booked into another hotel because of this incident.

Space is at a premium in Barcelona and the room was well designed. The air conditioning is not great and the controls are nonsensical, they should address that. I am also annoyed when there are signs about conserving water and not washing towels but sink plugs do not work. Just be honest, you save money by not washing towels and it costs money to have the sink plugs working.
