"Loved the place! Great location, nice staff, great coffee machine 🙃. The only thing I’d improve would be storage, maybe add shelving or hooks … nowhere to even put out toiletries in the bathroom."
"Hotel Gran Via is in an excellent location, not far from the Gothic quarter and centrally located. It is is in an older building that has been modernized while retaining the elegance of its older style. It has a beautiful central atrium, library, and dining area. We very much enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had many options, and the excellent coffee. Our room was very pleasant and spacious. The staff were courteous and helpful."
"Room needed a refresh. Cracked tile grout, rusting radiator, bad fixes everywhere, paint where it shouldn't be, wardrobe light was irritating to turn off as it was linked to the doors being open, and they didn't close properly.
The swimming pool area is in need of a refresh too, rusting screws, warped boards amongst other things.
We were woken up by a shower being used at 2am, so it's not sound proofed well.
Our room had two beds pushed together, with separate sheets and duvets, rather than a single duvet for us to share.
Staff frequently using the one lift to the rooftop bar/pool, so getting up can take a long time.
Certainly not 5* quality."
"The property is no way a 5 star property. Good staff, clean property but lots need to be done with renovations and maintaining. The shower area is very poorly designed. Shower shoots out the water to the floors outside( the glass fixtures donot cover the spray), also the tub is raised( if we had problems not sure what the seniors would do)
The doors have electronic keys but they seldom work properly"
