"Yes room was very clean against the bad reviews for all hotels of Cairo , staff is courteous and very helpful. Location is excellent , right on the Main Street in front of Tahrir square , walkable from everywhere and go bus terminal is just 5 mins walk if you want to get to or from other cities. In short a great place if you love to explore the city on feet and be close to all cafés and downtown. "

"The best and safe location in Cairo. When in Cairo, hotel location is a must. The hotel is very conveniently located, across the old Egyptian Museum. This is where you need to be if it's your first time. Turn left as you get out the hotel and that will take you everything you need from dining, shopping, souvenirs. One piece of advise, do not engage a conversation when someone approach you in the corner or alone the shopping lanes. Otherwise, Steingenberger has the best service, front desk, room, dining staff and even the sales staff in the mini shop. Enjoy!"

"Hotel was absolutely exquisite! Super comfortable and gorgeous room, huge 5-star bathroom and a very comfortable bed, didn’t even wanna get up in the morning because I was so comfy in my bed. Windows are very well sound-proofed. Air conditioning kept the room perfectly cool. Recommendation: Get the Fairmont Gold Signature room, it is well worth it because you get access to their executive lounge, which is superb, lots of complimentary food and drinks and a beautiful view. Also, when you get to check-in at the Fairmont Gold executive lounge, which allows u to avoid the more crowded regular lounge on the ground floor, thanks for supporting the special experience. Also, the Fairmont staff is so warm and welcoming, they are all amazing! Highly recommend"
