Hotel 11, MOD A Sonesta Collection

10/10 Excellent

"We wondered whether an airport hotel would be the right choice for us but we were actually very pleased with our stay, including even the location. It was modern, clean and quiet, and architecturally interesting. Some really pluses were the in room Nespresso machine, the 24 hour pool, even the carafe to fetch the nearby water, sparkling water or ice all on tap. We like a buffet breakfast with lots if options, and unfortunately they don’t have that, but we drove to the Hyatt Place for that. One negative was the toilet paper which felt a bit cheap."

"Return guest. Carriage House is our go-to hotel location whenever travelling to Calgary. On-site parking lot is only drawback. Spaces could be slightly bigger and improved asphalt, but that would mean using overflow parking a short walking distance away."

"I chose this hotel mainly for the proximity to the airport without being right AT the airport. It is modern and new. We didn't use the kitchen except for the coffee machine and the fridge. We were quite frustrated when we realized just before heading to bed that the shower door was stuck and would not open and then the fridge began to make a godawful vibrating noise. We tried to move it and shoved a towel between the fridge and the wall, but it still woke me up in the night. Fortunately the extremely nice and helpful service person was able to fix both issues when we asked for help in the morning but we feel that we should not have had to deal with them in the first place, so I lowered the rating in my review as a result."

"We stayed in the tower part of the hotel, it was nice, cleaned and quiet. It had a table and one chair, would be nice to have 2 for couple. The pool was nice but the preshower was too cold water to rinse before jumping in. The kids enjoyed the water slide and pool. Didn't have to bring your towels to pool was nice."
