Overall I would recommend our stay for what it was. The main factor we stayed here was price point, location, and parking. You are able to park right in front of the house, it is an affordable price point, and is located close enough to the French quarter.
You get what you pay for though. It’s not in a great area. There are allot of homeless people, run down buildings, and sketchy people nearby. If you are a young woman I would not recommend walking alone at night. There are some good places to eat nearby and it is close to the street car that will take you to the French quarter. There’s also a bus but I wouldn’t recommend taking that.
The staff was nice. Melissa greeted us and gave us good recommendations. She was very kind. But don’t expect to see the staff much of your visit if at all. To get inside the house and rooms there’s codes you enter into a keypad. The room was clean but it’s a shared house. You’re door to door with people so you can hear all their business. The bathrooms are private but are outside the room so it’s a bit inconvenient.
The rooms were clean and bed nice but the house smelt like there was water damage in the walls. There is also no where to fill up water on the property. There is a fridge inside the room and microwave in the kitchen.
For what the place is, it’s a place to crash that’s affordable. If you want to do anything other than sleep and shower or want to be in a nicer part of town, I’d look elsewhere. Overall it’s good value I’d say.
