I found Santa Rosa Beach to be a much more relaxed and natural atmosphere than the larger areas in Destin.

Santa rosa beach is amazing. Minus the beach space being minimized for tourist and beach goers. The beach space and owners of these mansion beach houses are marking their space on the beach now as well. Even when they are on vacation.
