There are three hotels in the same building with different pricing, but the rooms are similar. I stayed at Golden Tulip on my first trip. I choose Hotel Tour for a cheaper price on my next layover. The location couldn’t be more convenient—just two metro stops from the airport Terminal 2, $ 1.14 per person, which made getting there a breeze. Everything was nice and clean, but there was no partition in the shower room, so a lot of water splashed into the bathroom, which was a bit inconvenient.
You get what you pay for, so set your expectations accordingly. It's far from fancy and luxurious, but comfortable enough for me to get some rest before taking a long flight overseas.
This hotel was just right for me, as it was very close to the airport, and had many restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops nearby. In fact, I think the location of this hotel allows you to really experience the everyday life in Korea.
The property is a 5 star experience. The rooms are so spacious and luxurious! Right across the street from a local grocery store one can find anything we might need. The only thing is the subway station is quite a few blocks away and is about 1 hour by subway to all the main tourist attractions.
