"Popilia was an incredible place to stay. Eveything about the resort is amazing. The staff is incredibly friendly and was always very helpful. The rooms are comfortable and immaculately kept. The grounds are also meticulously maintianed. The pools is huge and makes you feel like you are in the Caribbean. The restaurant is also very good. If i had to give one criticism it would be to have a wider selection of food options for lunch or dinner. Otherwise 10 out of 10!!"

"Beautiful, quiet retreat just a short 5 min taxi ride into bustling Tropea. We had 3 rooms but some were much smaller. The resort is a retreat for peace. But note: no store on site, limited access to food only during meal times & the beach is a climb down, very small & no service only chairs & umbrellas. Still a great spot.

"This is a very unique hotel, it has a real 70s vibe however, don't get me wrong it also has a real charm. From the elevator down to the beach, to the tropical plants, to the hand paintings to the live music at night. Very quaint. Dinners and breakfasts were good as well. I did find they didn't speak much English and catered more to older German clients. Oh and it does have a nice view of Stromboli at night "
