The Roldal Stave Church was built between 1200 and 1250, and is famous for its healing crucifix still in the church. According to legend it sweats once a year on “Olsok” (July 6th after the Julian calendar), and the sweat has healing power. "Gorgeous room, clean and spacious. Incredible views. We were lucky to have a room overlooking the lake, and also at the very end of a long corridor so didn’t experience any noise from other guests walking by. Great staff, helpful and friendly cleaning staff did a wonderful job."
