Perfect spot!
Everything was wonderful! The hotel is old but it has character and history behind it. The location is perfect to see the waterfalls! Staff was also very helpful and kind.

Lovely old hotel. Very good food in the restaurant at night at fair prices. Breakfast was ok but nothing more than that. Friendly personnel

The access to Voringsfossen is unmatched. The hotel is literally at the top of the waterfall. We were able to walk around the waterfall after and before the other tourists could get there. You could see down the canyon from our balcony. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent and the morning breakfast was good. The staff was friendly and helpful.
No hotel in the area could match the benefits of the Fossli Hotel.

The hotel's location right at the waterfall is spectacular. The rooms are small and spartan and toiletries are not provided - other than liquid soap in the shower area. Breakfast is very nice. But the hotel's location is what really sets it apart.

The falls are STUNNING! and made the stay worth it. The staff was incredibly warm and helpful.
This property has an inspiring story of its construction - almost 150 years ago. The rooms have obviously been updated since then but some of the construction work seems incomplete.
I would make the trip again simply to listen to the falls all night and wake up to the stunning view.

Very nice experience
Very attentive staff. The hotel has character, old building, old rooms, nice history behind. Nice dinner at the restaurant. Well cleaned rooms.
The breakfast was more basic without warm food, but enough.
Fantastic location

Very charming hotel, not state of the art but rather time travelling 50 years back. With some careful renovation it could easily earn 5 stars. Superb location! Good food for dinner with reasonable pricing. Underwhelming breakfast. Restaurant staff could be a bit more empathetic. Overall an authentic and good experience. Do not expect more than 1960‘s accommodation in terms of facilities.

Amazing location above Varingsfossen! I had to leave before breakfast soTitas (Stan), an outstanding addition to staff, made me feel at home and additionally procured a hearty breakfast sandwich the night before. As a note if information, there was not a tv in my room (which is perfect by me!)... Fossli is A wonderful!!

It is a historic hotel that is badly in need of renovations to modernize it. No elevator, shower was poorly designed leading to water all over the floor, no wifi in the dining room. Outside the viewpoints are fabulous.

Weekend in the Fjords
The hotel is located on the hillside with a view of the fantastic waterfalls. Very easy access to longer hiking trips located from the hotel.
The double room was super fresh but it would have been very nice to have a kettle in the room. A floor scraper in the shower for water as it runs out on the floor.
The breakfast is a classic Nordic breakfast that absolutely went a long way, but would have been good with some type of scrambled eggs/bacon and some more fruit. Otherwise very fresh.
The hotell should win by having a bar so the hotel guests can enjoy 1 or 2 beers after a long hiking day and have a view on the Panorama over the waterfalls at evening
Overall very cozy old hotel with its own charm, Super nice staff, and caffé where you can have lunch and a souvenrr shop next to the hotel.

Location was excellent, many rooms, including the dining had views of the magnificent waterfall. Pleasant staff. Dinner was delicious, presentation very good, served by a friendly lovely waitress. Breakfast was tasty however no hot food.
Historical information and artefacts to view whilst roaming the communal rooms.
The bed was older but still comfortable. Perfect location to explore the waterfall trails, Easy free parking.

Great place to visit
Excellent views, when walking sround. Very good service. The hotel reminds about a specific hotel related to a Nicholson movie. 😀 Making the comparidons was only fun. This is a must place to visit if you are in the area!

Flott opphold
Hadde én natts overnatting, veldig få gjester da, men likevel flott frokost-oppdekking og fantastisk gode middagsretter.

Although older, the property was a good value for the price. It has a great family history and the fact that the waterfalls are right there made this location amazing! Robert was helpful and friendly at check in, but we had some other experiences in the morning that were a little less desirable: 1. The hotel is shared with visitors to the waterfalls and gets crowded with visitors (not guests), 2. We were sent out of the hotel to the cafe bathrooms to fill our water bottles versus filling them in the restaurant (which was never an issue elsewhere), 3. The breakfast is more of a continental style versus other hotels that we stayed at nearby (not a big deal, but not the norm in our experience)
