Hotels in Old Strathcona

"It is obvious this jotelnis run down but the owners have no intention of doing much needed upkeep. They are just milking the property dry. Stained carpets, dark stains on bathtub, shower head leaking and almost falling off cigarette burn marks on the table. As if this wasnt enough to convince you never to return the free breakfast would. It consisted of toast, cereal and waffles. And the breakfast lady was sure to let you know you will only have 1 waffle per person. No fruit, eggs or yogurt as you would find at a standard hotel. I will not suggest this hotel to anyone nor will i stay there again."

"Property was clean and well maintained. They were working on major renovations, so unfortunately the noise was awful. Pool area was nice, not a lot of towels available at the times we went (mid afternoon and early evening). The sauna was closed. Staff were super friendly and apologized for the noise. Breakfast was amazing! So many options for a hot continental - I'd stay here again for just the breakfast haha"

"Our room was very clean. Staff at the front seat were nice. They don’t have microwaves in each room so we asked the front desk and they have it at the lobby."

"Past its prime. Staff were good and rooms decently clean. Parking is easy enough and semi-secure. Breakfast was sub par, but had options. Coffee jugs appeared to need a clean. Hot tub jets barely worked. Beds were the firmest I've had in ages; I like it firm, but these caused loss of sleep. The attached pub appears nice; we went with a group of 5 and gave up after waiting for half hour for staff who never did acknowledge us."
