Guanajuato is a beautiful and very colourful town with cobblestone roads, many pedestrian walkways and markets, silver jewelry everywhere, so many parks, countless old and impressive churches from the 1600's and numerous mariachi bands walking around

Guanajuato was a wonderful surprise town. We were lucky to be there for the Cervantes festival. Lots of wonderful cultural happenings during the festival. Only wish we knew about this town earlier.

Would not recommend the tours. They can be a bit silly. Be sure to research your guide well in advance and hire someone serious. If you are just going for dining and shopping then it's fabulous.
