"Hotels.com booked me into a hotel that was closed for the winter! I arrived in the evening after a long journey to find everything closed but for the help of the caretaker I would have been stranded and seriously at risk. I had to find another hotel in Les Eyzies and pay 70 euros for a taxi to get there. "

A matter of opinion I’m sure and probably very French but the old pictures and stuffed animals were slightly too much. Having said that the restaurant was lovely as was the breakfast. "We booked a "Family Room" in this very nice, simple looking hotel in the Dordogne Valley. The couple running the place was very nice and welcoming. Although the hotel lobby and hallways were nice, clean and simple, we were extra pleasantly surprised by our room!
