"We were travelling with a U-Haul truck towing a car and barely limped into the parking lot with a mechanical problem with the truck. The check in desk staff was extremely kind and helpful and the manager who was on duty in the morning was even better, if that is possible. they allowed us extended check out time and hosted the broken truck until U Haul came and towed it away while we went on our way in a replacement truck. This is also one of the few remaining properties with a working hot tub and it was wonderful after a difficult day of loading a truck and driving a crippled truck for several stressful hours."

"The room was basic but exceptionally clean, smelled amazing and had everything one would need for an overnight stay. The front desk gentleman was very helpful upon checking in, and checking out was a breeze. I was in a hurry so I didn't get to take advantage of the breakfast but it was available and open until 9am."

"Property was very clean and beautifully decorated in a farmhouse style. Very cozy and comfortable! Came stocked with everything you would need. We had fun at nearby Aikman Wildlife Adventure in Arcola, Kayaking in Lake Charleston, hiking in Fox Ridge State Park a visit to Amish country in Arthur, IL. The kitchen, living and dining room were very spacious! The bathroom was very tiny so if staying with 4 adults - be prepared for this. Also there was a strange odor right outside the front entry and on the front porch. Maybe an animal urinated there. Owner may consider spraying urine odor control and planting things like lavender and rosemary to ward off animals from the property."
