Lots of options for eating, shopping for necessities, and other things near by, and the canal side park at the end of the block is a nice sitting space. The rooms have lots of character, and are converted apartments, so they have a "homey" feel to them. We will certainly come back at some point.

"This was a perfect place for our trip to Cooperstown. We had a pet also that was welcomed. Only problem we had was our key would not come out of the lock. Staff was fantastic in addressing it and it was repaired within a half hour. The room and bathroom were extremely clean with extra towels available in the dresser. I would definitely recommend the Lake House to friend s and would stay here again."

"Service was very slow at the front desk. Stood there for over 10 minutes before somebody finally came. It was like that every time we had to go to the front desk and they did not answer their phone. TV was broken. We had three rooms one room’s keys did not work. Rooms were average. Breakfast was good and more staff were available in the morning. "
