My wife and I first visited Grand Hotel Dino several years ago on a tour, and the beautiful images remained with us. We decided to return this July and it was everything we remembered and much more. The hotel is spectacular and the scenery is as well. Hopefully on our next trip up north we will bring our entire family including our grandchildren. We know that they, too, will just love it.
The staff were exceptional and always so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ample and delicious and the breakfast staff also extremely friendly. Beds extremely comfortable and rooms extremely quiet. Slightly out of town (about 15 minutes) but I liked walking to town and back along the waterfront after dinner. Going to the islands was extremely close - just down the hill. Great stay!!
Be careful staying at the Regina Palace - you may be overwhelmed as there is style everywhere you look.
Older building, not too large by modern standards, nice elegant rooms. Just beautiful downstairs areas. Large breakfast room with terrace overlooking the lawns and one main restaurant. Access to Spa and indoor pool included. Outdoor pool among the gardens. One day a guest's 1960 Ferrari parked out the back with the top down - just like that ! One night tango dancing on the hotel...
This was the best hotel of our trip to Italy! Super friendly and helpful staff - Marta showed us to our room upon arrival and explained the room features (I've never experienced that at a hotel before!). The hotel and the room were beautiful and spotless - and the shower has to be one of the best hotel showers of all time! Great stay!
This is a beautiful historic warm and welcoming grand, yet friendly and comfortable, hotel. The staff was so very accommodating and everyone was happy and nice. Even though we don’t speak Italian, the staff always had someone who spoke English. Rooms are a bit small but you have to understand that this is an old hotel. The view over Lake Maggorie from the room is stunning. The ferry boats to the islands are right across the street in front of the hotel and the small downtown is right behind...
excellent overall. staff friendly and accommodating. recommend getting superior room with view. they have great views of the lake and mountains. excellent breakfast. entire hotel has been updated with sleek modern interior. rooms facing the lake are noisy due to busy street but this is the view side and worth the noise.
Fantastic hotel with very helpful staff. In room we found a personalized welcome note, delicious nibbles from their bakery and refreshing bottles of water. The room had a view of the lake …also a plus. Restaurant and room service was absolutely top notch. We will stop again.
Staff is really nice, rooms are a bit smaller and basic but provides all what you need, you enjoy the things rather outside :-) that is why you are in maggiore right ;), I spent just a weekend and it provided us good night sleep with a good breakfast - all you need, juices, italian cofee is a must ofcourse, yogurt, mussli, sweets and breads.
Again the best part of this hotel is the staff, from reception to welcome you even in the late evening, to the staff serving you breakfast.
Phenomenal. Incredible architecturally significant property with top-quality gourmet restaurant offering mind blowing tasting menu. Staff is absolutely the best it can be. Best service and food there is. Must see and experience to believe.
This property was an unexpected gym! It was a tiny living room boutique hotel with beautiful grounds and very helpful staff. Restaurant was excellent. Sleepy little town but perfect for a very relaxing stay.
