"Cant beat the price of this hotel! It amounts to what it is a nice clean hotel room, small bathroom and central area of Botafogo. Definitely would stay agin especially when budget traveling! Really liked the glitter and sparkles table they had for carnaval goers. Breakfast could be better, but was not bad at all! Staff are young and very friendly. You can get anywhere in the south zone within 10-20 mins from here even less. Definitely recommend especially if you think youre not going to be at...

Best place to stay in Rio! Breakfast was perfect and the rooftop view was outstanding. Via the concierge, we booked a tour to see Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf and it was well worth every Rial!

I stayed at Ipanema Inn for a few nights during a solo trip to Rio and would stay again if I’m back. From check-in to assisting with booking any tours/tickets/dinner reservations Fred at the front desk was always so helpful and greeted me by name every time he was there. I have stayed at the Olinda three times ! I believe it surpasses any other Hotel in Rio when it comes to customer service and the most spectacular view of copacabana beach
This was my second stay in this excellent hotel which I chose primarily due to its location on the beach in Ipanema. The first time I visited I stayed in a regular double room #305 which faced to the park next to the beach. This time I stayed in a superior room #808 on higher floor with wonderful views to the beach and park. That’s basically the difference between the rooms as they are the same size and furnishings.

I have been staying here when visiting Rio since 2003! The convenience of being near Arpoador, where Copacabana meets Ipanema, and being able to easily walk to either beach or neighborhood is perfect. Breakfast is varied, fresh, and has my fave Brazilian staples (fruits, ‘french’ bread, eggs and of course coffee.) Front desk and cleaning staff are lovely, and I always feel safe and in good hands there. Can’t wait for a chance to go back
The hotel itself is excellent. As soon as you step outside you’re risking your life. Filthy dirty, loaded with homeless people doing very obscene things on the street, lots of beggars.
My son and I spent 22 days here enjoying all the football, foot volley, Açaí, Roxy, Marcacana tour, Copacabana and Ipanema Beaches, Christ the Redeemer, Urca Mountain, Sugarloaf, Lapa Steps, Roxy, Brazilian culture and more! The hospitality and helpfulness of the desk speaking Spanish, English, and Portuguese was awesome. Housekeeping kept our stay clean! Thank you for sharing your country!
