Location is one block from beach. Hotel itself is average. Staff is not overly friendly. Breakfast selection is good, but it was very noisy in the breakfast room. Elevators were down to one. We had a pleasant stay at the Regency Hotel. The location is excellent—just a short walk to the beach and surrounded by a variety of restaurants, making it super convenient for exploring Rio. Breakfast was a highlight, with a wide selection and good variety to suit different tastes. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, contributing to a restful stay. However, there was a minor issue with the washroom—a foul smell coming from the drainage, which we had to cover to manage. It didn’t ruin the experience, but it’s something the hotel could improve. Overall, a good stay with great amenities and a prime location. Would recommend, especially for beach lovers and foodies.
