Using Hotel de Hallen as our home base during our recent trip to Amsterdam was one of the best decisions we made. The hotel is part of a complex of buildings that includes a food hall, shops, even a cinema. Lots of great restaurants, an outdoor market and several tram stops are within a few minutes walk. This is a great hotel for students or anyone else. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Close to Metro. I had an issue with the A/C in my room but chose not to move and they provided me with a fan. It was all good.
The hotel is walkable to a number of the places we were visiting. I liked that it wasn’t in the city center but only 10 minutes from the train station. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable.

I arrived 6:00 a.m., I was tired, I was hot, I look like I had beaten with a wet towel. I was so grateful when the gentleman looked at me and he said we'll get you into a room right away. I had been traveling for 19 hours. They got me into a room and it was beautiful, it was clean and it was cool. I was out like a light! I can never thank them enough for their kindness and checking me in so early in the morning.
