8/10 Good

"Stayed here recently for a couple of nights. Room had lovely decor, really cosy and put together. It also had good amenities: quick kettle and a strong hairdryer (not attached to the wall so more convenient). We didn’t use the gym or have breakfast so can’t comment on those. Parking is first come, first served and was full by mid morning at the weekend so bear that in mind if you’re driving. There are other car park options nearby however. Our only complaints were: 1) that the bed was very firm, so we kept waking up in the night with stiff shoulders; and 2) the grouting in the bathroom was getting a little grotty so probably needed replacing or a deep clean. The room was otherwise spotless however. Staff were friendly. Overall, a pleasant stay - just maybe change those mattresses!"

"Clean room, helpful staff, lovely bar and spa, lovely air con. Only couple of problems, one is need more plug sockets only 4 sockets which one had lamp plugged and the other for kettle. Had to move table to put kettle on near to a plug socket, table was heavy to move. Also stopped in disable room, the room was a distant away from main entrance which, I can't walk very far so wasn't very disabled friendly."

"Lovely hotel in an ideal location. We had the day at RHS Garden before a 10 minute drive to the hotel. Really friendly staff and parking on site for a small extra fee. Good in Amber's was lovely. Ideally situated for the Harrogate Park run the following morning, right outside the front door. Can't wait to return."

"We had a lovely stay at the Radisson Hotel York. The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of the city centre, and we particularly enjoyed strolling along the river in the evening. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The hotel car park was full when we arrived, but the staff quickly advised us where to park nearby and made the whole process easy and stress-free. We were also kindly upgraded to a room with a river view, which was a lovely surprise and much appreciated. The breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice and a great start to our day. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would happily return when visiting York again."
