This place was fantastic! It had everything you needed so you wouldn’t need to go off property! The owners were very communicative via WHATS app and made check in super quick so we could start enjoying our vacation. The food and drinks were awesome. Definitely will stay here again on our next trip! A huge shout out to all the staff as they were very warm and called us each by our name .. we felt at home.

.I arrived at Upachaya in a state of mental and physical exhaustion. This is a fabulous place to unwind and de-stress. I curled up on the porch for two weeks and spent most afternoons simply reading and/or writing. I enjoyed falling asleep listening to the tree frogs and the men fishing in the bay. We made our plans at the last minute and found the West Bay Lodge through Expedia. We booked two rooms, one for us and one for the kids. We received an email shortly after booking asking about our plans, any special requests, etc. I thought that was nice. I traveled solo to Honduras for my birthday two weeks ago for a nice getaway. I was concerned about being alone on this trip but the staff took excellent care of me while I was there. They transported me everywhere I needed to go and picked me up. They were extremely attentive to me and helped make my trip very enjoyable. I do not have many complaints. This was my 5th stay at Splash Inn. I have never had any bad experience at this hotel. The whole staff, from reception to restaurant is very friendly and helpful and remembers you. From the Minute we were greeted at the airport, we felt special. We were picked up on time and driven to our hotel where We were given a welcome drink and shown to our room. The property was incredibly convenient, excellent location central to West Bay. Easy access to loads of dinning options, activities and services. Beach front bar is epic and pool side oasis is incredibly relaxing. Very nice small hotel, with private parking and only 5mins away from Paseo de los Ceibeños. Friendly staff, check in and check out fast and easy. We will for sure stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two-week stay at Puerta Azul in July 2022. Talia and her staff were always helpful and friendly. Puerta Azul was an ideal place to relax and unwind, as it was located in Sandy Bay away from the busy resorts and cruise ship traffic. My husband booked this resort for me I enjoyed my stay. Very relaxing my room was clean and it had everything I needed and more. Staff was friendly and accommodating. This was our second stay. Both times were wonderful. The staff is very attentive and friendly. We tried several things on the menu at the restaurant during our two week stay and found that everything is prepared with fresh ingredients and looks as good as it tastes. This hotel is everything! Our room was as beach front as you can get and we loved mornings and evenings on the patio. I can’t say enough good things about the staff. Every single person, including the owners of the property, were so welcoming and friendly…even the 24-hour security guards (we never felt unsafe the entire time on the island but it was just a little peace of mind). This was my first time here but won't be my last! Beautiful room without the noise of a big hotel..I loved my beautiful private balcony and the staff are wonderful! I even ran into the bartender off duty and she came up to me.. Super pleasant and let me know if my group wanted to join them or needed anything.. Now that is great customer service!

Perfect location right on the beach. Close to restaurants and shops. Hotel was clean and had delicious breakfast.

Taquela Jack’s bar and restaurant is the best. Probably one of the cleanest on the island.
