We thoroughly enjoyed our two-week stay at Puerta Azul in July 2022. Talia and her staff were always helpful and friendly. Puerta Azul was an ideal place to relax and unwind, as it was located in Sandy Bay away from the busy resorts and cruise ship traffic. This was our second stay. Both times were wonderful. The staff is very attentive and friendly. We tried several things on the menu at the restaurant during our two week stay and found that everything is prepared with fresh ingredients and looks as good as it tastes. The restaurant staff filled our insulated cups and ice bag with ice every day. The cleaning staff have the place shining. It always smells clean in the common areas. This hotel is everything! Our room was as beach front as you can get and we loved mornings and evenings on the patio. I can’t say enough good things about the staff. Every single person, including the owners of the property, were so welcoming and friendly…even the 24-hour security guards (we never felt unsafe the entire time on the island but it was just a little peace of mind). This was my first time here but won't be my last! Beautiful room without the noise of a big hotel..I loved my beautiful private balcony and the staff are wonderful! I even ran into the bartender off duty and she came up to me.. Super pleasant and let me know if my group wanted to join them or needed anything.. Now that is great customer service!

The place was a 10/10 absolutely recommend! Our host was more than hospitable and made us feel very welcome! If you’re staying in Roatan I highly recommend! This place was absolutely amazing!

Perfect location right on the beach. Close to restaurants and shops. Hotel was clean and had delicious breakfast.

Taquela Jack’s bar and restaurant is the best. Probably one of the cleanest on the island.

This place was fantastic! It had everything you needed so you wouldn’t need to go off property! The owners were very communicative via WHATS app and made check in super quick so we could start enjoying our vacation. The food and drinks were awesome. Definitely will stay here again on our next trip! A huge shout out to all the staff as they were very warm and called us each by our name .. we felt at home.

Great property, beautiful location. I would say that they would need to allow some form of partnership with a taxi company or private service for those who want to be out past 10pm when the shuttle stops. I love that the staff will book excursions for you and allow you to make the most of your experience. I do think there is room for an all inclusive for the guests. .I arrived at Upachaya in a state of mental and physical exhaustion. This is a fabulous place to unwind and de-stress. I curled up on the porch for two weeks and spent most afternoons simply reading and/or writing. I enjoyed falling asleep listening to the tree frogs and the men fishing in the bay. We made our plans at the last minute and found the West Bay Lodge through Expedia. We booked two rooms, one for us and one for the kids. We received an email shortly after booking asking about our plans, any special requests, etc. I thought that was nice. Since we were staying over the course of a week the hotel had a driver meet us at the airport and drive us to the lodge. Upon arrival they let us know that we couldn't get two adjoining rooms since we had only booked the day before but...

The Reef House is in a quiet part of the island. We went for relaxation and diving. The first night we snorkeled at night in the ocean pool and saw octapus, shrimp, flounder, small eels, and huge urchins. My older son wanted to fish, so they arranged a day of fishing and visiting a shallow area where nurse sharks and rays hang out, so we got to snorkel with them. We caught a bunch of tuna and they cooked it up for us for dinner. We went during the end of August, which is the slow time. ...

Stayed for 11 nights & the location is perfect. Anything you need is within walking distance. Only negative was the “step down”, when exiting the toilet. I didn’t have the light on & crashed into door frame, first day. Bloody arm that needed a lot of neosporin & bandaids. Would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful stay at this beautiful garden property with a nice pool area and great free breakfast. It's just a little up the road out of the main beachfront town area, about a five minute walk. Would highly recommend it!
