This is the second time I've stayed at Mr. Tucan and it has been amazing both times. The staff is so friendly and helpful and the location is perfect. You can walk across the street and go swimming or snorkeling at any time. Breakfast is included and they have great smoothies and coffee. Will definitely stay again!

Great location with a local feel! Less touristy than other parts of the island and easy transportation to other areas via water taxi or cab. Mr. Tucan is a really nice place, and for us, was an excellent location (about 3 minutes walk to Roatan Divers where we were doing our scuba diving.) Breakfast at Crazy Bean was excellent, had very friendly and helpful staff, but not speedy (allow about 40 minutes). I think other rooms would have been better. Ours (the Panoramic Penthouse Suite) was spacious, had an amazing view, a very good air conditioner, and a functional kitchenette. Where it fell short was the sloping ceiling was a nuisance the whole time; except for the shower door, there was literally nowhere to hand wet towels or clothes after diving; in the suite, there was only one chair; the bathroom had no ventilation; and there are no curtains on the windows to keep the early-morning sun from waking me up. Although we asked the desk clerk for something to hang clothes on, nothing ever showed up. (Not sure if he communicated something else to my buddy.) Really liked that there was an in-room safe. I would absolutely stay there again, but would select a different room. Also, the hotel's recommended airport transfer (Alfredo) worked out very well.

Very nice clean property helpful friendly staff Beautiful area half moon bay is excellent beach, swimming, snorkeling area.beach is steps from the front door.restaurants and bars are in walking distance.nice coffee shop and restaurant on site breakfast is very good Few negatives 1- very busy street cars honking like you’re downtown new york city,loud motorcycles 2-Public beach so on cruise ship days they drop right in front of hotel and take over the beach 3-massage ladies are very aggressive beware! 4-this is a public beach so you will need to be ready to be solicited seems like all day long. Enjoy!
