Milan isn't rated by many, I guess it is unfavourably compared with Rome, Florence & Venice, but it's a rich city for business, design, museums, and is a wonderful place to spend a number of days. It is a living, vibrant city of design and culture.

We loved the main attractions in Milan, especially the roof terrace at the Duomo, the Santuario di San Bernardino alle Ossa, and the QC Terme Milano spa. We also loved bar hopping in the Navigli district. There was plenty to do in Milan for two days.

Centre of Milan is really interesting, no street is boring. Beautiful architecture and historic buildings, with loads of options for shopping and eating out. The metro is cheap and very efficient, but surprisingly taxis are pretty reasonable also.

Milan is an excellent city for business and for a non tourist-dominated European urban experience. It is a major center of Italian design, and they are rightfully proud. Food is great, the city is very walkable, and public transportation is superb.

Enjoyed visiting the Duomo in Milan. A hidden gem to visit is the Monumental Cemetery. Piazza Gae Aulenti has unique architectural buildings, shopping, events/activities & people watching. Good public transportation and easy to get around.

Milan exceeded our expectations even in the rain. We wished we had stayed longer but moved on to Lake Como but were disappointed with that. Milan is safe, beautiful, plenty of places to eat and drink at reasonable prices. Easily walkable.

Milan surprised me in so many ways during my visit. Transportation was very accessible and convenient as there was only one pass for the tram, underground train, and bus which I appreciate as a tourist. I will come back at a later time.

It's a good idea to take a City Bus Tour first to get an idea of the scope of the historic centre. The DUOMO is spectacular but be prepared for huge crowds and high prices to enter most sites. Taxi prices can be extraordinarily high.

For an authentic (non-touristy) Italian bar for drinks only with jazz enthusiast owners (who don't speak a lot of English) but are very friendly try Bar Tabacchi La Darsena da Peppuccio on Viale Gorizia just before the canals.
"If I could I would give Urban Hive - Milan 10 stars! The service was excellent. The breakfast was the best “continental” breakfast I have ever had. The location is perfect; we walked to almost all major sites and areas of town. Staff was so very helpful in every way but we especially appreciated the incredibly quick cab service when we needed one. I hope to stay here if ever in Milan again. Highly recommended. "
"Great location and walkable. The only issue was advertising the restaurant as having a panoramic view which it would have had the bushes growing outside been cut down, otherwise fabulous place!"
"Lovely grand old hotel. Very comfy bed and pillows. Good water pressure in shower. Had a nightcap in the beautiful relaxing bar.
Breakfast was tasty and plentiful.
Every member of staff we encountered were polite, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. We were only there one night but actually plan to return in a few days for another night before we leave Italy."
