"Room Mate Gallia is one of the best hotel to stay in milan. It is just behind Galleria Vittorio Emmanualle mall which has many high end stores and restaurants. Outside is the Duomo church and there are even more stores nearby. It is centrally located with subway also just nearby. I highly recommend staying in this hotel."

Standard rooms can be smallish so try to go for a suite or at least rooms overlooking the piazza below and facing the Duomo. Galleria, Duomo and metro are a short & safe 5-15min walk. The little Carrefour grocery store next door has everything you forgot. Coffee service, TV, amenities all top notch. "Hotel was. Ice. It room were a little worn. There was a button missing from one of the controls for lights. Also, it was a iPad controlled room which I find a little annoying. Carpet in room needed to be replaced. Location was perfect. Near shopping and duomo. Staff was excellent. Very nice. "
