I hadn't any great hopes for Wolverhampton, but it struck me as a decent City. Some nice architecture and good venues. On the negative side, I possibly had the worst curry ever and on the plus side the old school fish n chip shop was fantastic

To the new government: places like Wolverhampton need some attention. It seems to have a lot to offer but its glorious past - from Anglo Saxon origins to the Victorian era - is not celebrated enough. It's a town which has been neglected.

We ate at 2 restaurants, within walking distance - both very good with delicious food. We stayed at hotel whilst attending concerts at The Halls in Wolverhampton. Felt safe walking to and from the event.

First time in Wolverhampton. I was very nervous about it being rough. We had an excellent night out at the KK Steel Mill and never felt unsafe.

We ate at the Thai restaurant 'Made in Thai' which is very close to the Fold Street carpark - parking for the evening/night was £1.20. The car park was a 5 minute walk from The Halls.

There's a great Tennis and Squash Club there with a great friendly staff.
"Highly recommend, good area for all sorts of activities varying from families to couples to nights out. Lovely rooms and can’t fault service and breakfast has a fantastic range of choice. "
"Bit apprehensive beforehand reading reviews as the hotel is undergoing refurb but honestly our room was excellent as it was one newly refurbished. To be fair it was a bit of a trek getting to it but it is an older building and not much they can do about that as it is also only a couple of floors so extends out the back considerably. carpets in corridors bit dirty but builders clearly in and out, and they seem to have painted bits that maybe should have waited until refurb finished - also whoever picked the colour scheme clearly likes green of all shades!!! Bar and bar staff great. Didn't try the food but will next time. But overall no problem recommending ...if you get a refurbed room. problem going back "
