"A very nice hotel. Perfectly situated for attractions of the city and certainly for restaurants day and night. The building is actually a centuries old palace and many of the common rooms reflect this with nice decor and antique furnishings. A rooftop bar and restaurant compliment the high standards of the establishment. Service at reception, breakfast and staff in general was similarly always very good. Staff are brilliant - very helpful and always contactable. The hotel is well situated for all key tourist attractions, the cathedral, fountain of shame etc even the new port area is within walking distance. The hotel is surrounded by numerous restaurants, cake shops etc and the central rail station is only a few hundred metres away....

"The ground floor lounge spaces and its bar always seemed deserted, and there is a strong smell of Ortigia room scents throughout. The heavy-handed interior design overwhelms the more classic beauty of the original palazzi. We are architects, so this kind of poor design is more offensive to us than most. We finally got help with the AC, which had been turned off in our first room, and the young men "helping" us turn it back on were surly and laughing at our apparent stupidity in not being able to find the tiny black button on the tiny black thermostat. So, several hot and uncomfortable nights spent before solving that mystery. It's a great location with good array of breakfast choices, but I would not go back here."

"The staff was very helpful. The room was clean but not pristine. I mean you see discoloration on the shower grout. There was also a stench coming from the shower drain. It wasn’t that bad but it was there. There was also odor in the gym, not sure if it was coming from the toilette. Overall if they sanitize the place and do deep cleaning they will be in good shape. The staff was very friendly otherwise."

"This hotel is fine. It wasn’t as nice as in the pictures but honestly if you’re going to be there just for sleeping it’s perfect. It has everything you need and the staff is great. If you’re looking for a fancy hotel I would say pick something else but something easy conveniently located and average it’s perfect. Especially for the price."
