The staff was extremely helpful; we made a last-minute reservation and called in the morning to let them know we’d be arriving early, and they arranged to have our room cleaned and ready for us to check in immediately. "Wonderful Hotel ideally situated within the Ringstrasse with great shopping and restaurants close by. Also within easy walking distance to most of the major attractions in Vienna i.e. Sisi Museum, Spanish Riding School, Opera, St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the National Museum. When we arrived in Vienna, many streets were closed for a parade and the taxi could not get closer than 1 km from the hotel. I am mobility impaired and the hotel sent someone with a wheelchair to take me to the hotel and then he returned to take my companion with 2 suitcases to the hotel. Service in excess! The breakfast buffet was fabulous and the staff was the best! Next time in Vienna I will definitely return.

This is a lovely hotel in the baroque style that really makes you feel like you're in Old Vienna. Our room was very large and very clean, as was the bathroom. The hotel is in the heart of the Ring and virtually all sites and shops are within easy walking distance. The hotel staff was very helpful and the breakfast buffet was excellent. We highly recommend staying here.
Everything about this hotel was perfect. The rooms are a typical European size, that is not overly expansive, but more than adequate. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming in every aspect. And let’s not forget the wonderful breakfast.
We travel a lot and have stayed in many hotels and Airbnb’s. This hotel was one of the best I’ve stayed with in Europe. The location is tops, only a 2 minute walk to Stephensplatz, shopping and restaurants. The room is huge, with large bathroom and large walk-in closet as well. Small kitchenette is perfect. Parking is a bit tricky. There is a garage near that is secure- 9 euro per day. Have to smile for the camera and wait a long time for them to let you back in. But the car was secure.
A lovely hotel in a superb location. A tram stop is right across the street, and the Rathaus square (and Christmas market, Vienna's largest) is an easy walk. Staff were very nice, and the breakfast buffet is sumptuous. We loved Eiles, the coffee bar/restaurant just half a block away.
Old apartment building concerted to a boutique hotel. It was done very well with stylish comfortable rooms and nice amenities. If you are looking for a conventional hotel this is not it. If you want a room that is comfortable and stylish with fine amenities coupled with great service, I would highly recommend the Altstadt.
Not much of a boutique hotel person but definitely was very pleased with this hotel. Largest bed I have seen or slept on in Europe , pillows soft and comfortable. Room and bathroom larger than most places and well design. Close to all main attractions. Definitely would recommend to stay here .
Wonderful staff and breakfast. Room was comfortable and had all the necessary amenities! Easy to get there with the metro...you literally come up out of the subway and arrive at the hotel. Very cool views of St Stephens church and the delightful Christmas market!

Safe, quiet location about a mile from everything in the historic / tourist districts you want to see. You can take a longer (30 minutes to 1 hour) walk OR underground OR tram rides that are 5 minute walk away 15 minute rides. The bus tram underground ticket cost me $8 for a 24 hour unlimited pass.
