Stayed for 3 nights with my mother. Lovely and clean hotel, room had all the required necessities great shower, air con and also lovely touches on welcoming! All staff were very welcoming and helpful, we requested an early breakfast on check out pre breakfast and they prepared a little box for us! location was perfect right by the museum quarter. The breakfast had overall decent choices and coffee to order which was lovely rather than just filter coffee option! I have seen more of a variety with the cooked breakfast elsewhere but we still enjoyed and very satisfied. A lovely hotel and interior, would recommend!

We spent 2 nights at Hotel Gilbert and it was great !! The room was spacious, clean, the staff was helpful and nice, and the breakfast was so good !! Plus, it was nice to see that the buffet was not overflowing with food that will eventually go to waste. They are very conscious about that and I liked it. We also tried the restaurant on the first evening and the food was amazing ! Would definitely recommend!

Honestly one of the loveliest hotels I've stayed in, and a superb choice for a Vienna city break. It's so central, right on the doorstep of the museum quarter and five minutes from the Rathaus. The reception staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. The room themselves are a joy with some nice little details (love the turntable and record collection), a great shower, super comfy bed and decent air con. Breakfast was well worth it with a great buffet for €20. There are also some very good Austrian wines on offer in the bar in the evening. Choosing this place really made the stay - would come back in a heartbeat.
