3 Star Hotels in Altstadt Grossbasel

Everything was excellent! Especially the staff. Carla at the front desk was kind and thoughtful. Our room was very modern and clean. The breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious. Highly recommend!

This place is in a great location. Few steps and you’re in the heart of Basel. Saturdays in the park across the street is a market where you can find amazing antiques and other great finds. Staff are friendly and even loaned me a plugin adapter as mine for some reason didn’t work here. You’ll also get a pass to take the trams for free around the city! The only two caveats to mention is this is right next to the Basel University, so the rooms in the alley side can be a bit busy and loud later in...

This is a surprisingly nice hotel in a great location. We travelled with another couple and their room was the standard size for European accommodations. However, our room on the top floor was larger with a very cool sky light window. Nevertheless, both rooms were very clean and modern. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel WiFi was flawless and there were multiple built in USB charging stations in each room. One of the best things about the hotel is the location. It is...

Perfect location in Marktplaz. Nice size, full kitchen appliances and nice sleeper couch for our grown son who joined us. Checkin was simple. Early morning truck delivering packages was just part of the city experience. Great time!

Excellent value for Switzerland. 5 minute walk to station with quick connections to Basel and 1 hour to Zurich. High quality furnishings and TV and spacious room.

Easy to park on the street, quiet location. Room is comfortable and clean. The door is very solid and safe.

Excellent location near public transportation, spacious and comfortable rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. And even though it’s in a busy area it was quiet at night - we for a great night’s sleep.

We stayed at the Steinenschanze Stadthotel the day before we took a Rhine river cruise. The receptionist gave us good instructions on how to use the free transit pass to get back to the hotel after we returned our rental car at the airport, which saved us a taxi fare. The receptionist also recommended a good Swiss restaurant within a 10 minutes walk for dinner, and gave us good directions on using the free transit pass to visit the Basel zoo. The receptionist also arranged our taxi to the...

This Holiday Inn far exceeded my expectations. The staff were magnificent providing helpful information as well as ice bucket, extra towels, and even a can opener. It is conveniently located with a bus stop directly in front of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was excellent and always well stocked with high quality food and beverage items. My only suggestion is the carpet could use a shampooing in our room. My compliments to the Management as it is clear that they wish to provide a high quality...

The hotel is situated in an idyllic quiet surrounding of Mariastein. The hotel room was spacious and clean and quiet. No noise from outside. The service of the staff is amazing. They go above and beyond. Breakfast is amazing with fresh products (bread, cheese, cold cuts, cereal, milk, eggs).

Wonderful quaint location overlooking a valley, away from the drudgery of the city. The room is very clean and modern. The building is charming to say the least. Parking on-site and provided at no extra cost. Breakfast provided at no extra cost. Do stay here.

Excellent dinner. Great location and helpful staff
