Augusta is the small state capital city of Maine with limited tourist destinations such as museums and the historical fort but within driving distance of many outdoor parks and walking trails. Not a bustling city especially at night.

Augusta has alot to offer if you enjoy historical stories on the downtown history walk, state museum, shopping, and the entertainment at the old renovated (still in progress) historic colonial theater.

Augusta is a nice town with lots of dining options, as long as you get out early in the evening, as the entire place seems to close by 9pm.

The part that we stayed in and around was nicely kept. There was a lot of road construction going on. Would like to visit more parts of the city.
