The rooms were really good - I love the design. The church bells can be a little loud if you like to sleep with open windows. I didn’t mind it; after an active day in the mountains, I sleep like a rock. The breakfast was so so; we must be spoiled from other hotels before.
Location is perfect to start your day trips and the staff was happy to help with that as well. We were able to walk to a little spot just 5min away to take a swim in the lake as well - very convenient.
Absolutely amazing stay. Didnt try out the spa but this was an amazing hotel. I believe it was a little slow so the staff upgraded me to a room that faced the lake. Breathtaking views. Anything in the mini fridge is free of charge and breakfast is included. All things that really matter when traveling in an expensive country. Would highly, highly recommend.

We asked for a lake view room upon reservation and when we arrived, we were upgraded to a suite with not only a lake view, but a balcony. The accommodations were not only spacious and comfortable, but the room was beautifully appointed with an antique desk and dresser, lovely chandeliers, roomy closets and a double sink bathroom. Have stayed in many hotels in Luzern over the years but I now try to go back to the Wildenmann when I have the chance to visit Switzerland. It is consistently at the high standard that you would expect in Switzerland.
WOW I mean the views from this place cannot be beat. You absolutely MUST request a river facing room (you can see the beautiful snow capped mountains of Pilatus on a clear day). It is worth every penny. Additionally, your stay gets your a visitors pass with discounted rates on transport throughout the city. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind as well. We will DEFINITELY be coming back!

Hotel is beautiful from outside. Room was not big, but not too small like some in the old town. Switzerland has a great train system. Being right across from the Luzern main train station with buses and trains access to nearby scenery.
