The hotel is very close to the Lucerne station. The room was newly renovated, small but comfortable. I love the furnitures inside. Please take note that the toilet was without a door. But it’s not a matter to me since I’m a solo traveller.

8/10 Very good

The room was very nicely appointed and a good size (we had deluxe king). The linens were adequate. The showers were great. The breakfast was adequate but limited - good quality but limited selection. The rooftop bar was a nice touch. Great location.

6/10 Good

This hotel is nice clean. However staff was not very patient and helpful. Besides we paid additional tax for 100 SF per day plus 15 SF when we were checking out (no idea what’s for).

8/10 Very good

Very nice, clean and well maintained facility. Room was decent size by European standards with comfortable bed, but the sofa bed was not as comfortable with very had mattress. Location was great, within walking distance from train station and old city. Very hot outside but AC kept the room nice and cool, which was important for us. Wouldn’t mind staying here again.

Although the room was a little damp and had musty smell, the air conditioning made me comfortable. Thanks to the friendly staff during check out.

Very clean large room for Lucerne. The bathroom was massive and very clean. The hotel overall almost feels like you are staying at a 5 star hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful and about a 5 minute walk to the lake.

We had an excellent stay at Astoria hotel. The location was perfect, 5 min walking distance to Luzern train station. Bus station right outside. Staff was very helpful, room and entire hotel was very clean. A/C and shower were excellent. Very affordable rate compared to other hotels in the area. 10/10 would stay here again.

The room is clean. However, a lot of condensation in the bathroom after showers so maybe install a ventilator? Staff is very helpful. Breakfast is great!

Very comfortable room, modern! I haven’t used the restaurants but looked great. The only thing missing for me is a kettle in the room.

10/10 Exceptional

The breakfast was a great spread, and well-serviced too. There were multiple locations for breakfast, we tried two, both were nice. There was multiple large groups staying at the hotel at the same time, but the breakfast went smoothly. The only issue was waiting for the single lift to go up and down. The rooms were comfortable. They give a complimentary water bottle every day (if you havent used it up, they wont keep another one). The location was very convenient. The Italian restaurant in the hotel was very nice, we had a great meal there. We were a family of 6 (along with a toddler) and had requested for our 3 rooms to be near each other, which was accepted on the hotels.com messaging service. But we were given rooms on separate floors/ buildings. It wasn't a problem as such, but it would've been more convenient to not keep traveling between the buildings and floors. Alex, from the Front Desk team assured us that next time they will ensure that this won't happen. Alex was also very helpful in arranging for our luggage to be transported to another city via a taxi service.
