Learn more about Groveland
Raise a glass at the Iron Door Saloon, where California's oldest continuously operating watering hole serves history alongside cold beer. Pine Mountain Lake offers a serene escape with its marina and golf course for those seeking relaxation before adventure. The town serves as the perfect basecamp for exploring Yosemite National Park through either the Big Oak Flat or Hetch Hetchy entrances. Local tour operators can guide even novice hikers to spectacular vistas that explain why John Muir fell in love with these mountains. Don Pedro Reservoir beckons with its expansive waters for fishing and boating when Yosemite's crowds become too much. This tiny mountain community of just 540 souls somehow manages to welcome thousands without losing its frontier character.

Country Inn Sonora
"Bring your own shampoo and conditioner...there wasn't either in the room, but outside of that... it was a great place to stay if you couldn't get a room at Chicken Ranch Casino. The Inn was quiet...they had a pool, and the staff was friendly. I would definitely stay there again."
Curry Village
"If you want a reasonable (for yosemite) room for a few nights it's ok, it's shortfalls are made up by it's location and onsite facilities, the pizza and cold beer at the end of a days walking was great! But.. the beds are awful I didnt expect much but these metal framed beds squeeked with the tiniest movement, enough to keep you up at night, I mentioned it at check out but the lady was not interested. The bike rental is a bit pricey for a family, I think I paid $120 for 4 hours, 2 adult and 2 childrens bikes. The shower blocks are 'ok' but busy and often queues are formed.Maybe spend a bit more and go up the road."
Cedar Lodge
"Very clean and spacious room, convenient to Yosemite. They have a small supermarket (expensive) and souvenir store. I stayed here many times. Unfortunatetly, this time, they put me in a room next to their cleaning ladies storage room, so they woke me up early. Normally, it is a quiet hotel, as long as you are not next to some action, like I was this time."
The Groveland Hotel
"The Aromas restaurant is great, great staff at hotel. No elevator, hotel built in the 1800's. Great location in town and nice place to stay"
Evergreen Lodge Yosemite
"This place is very family friendly. (The staff riding around in golf carts need to watch their language when speaking among themselves!). Plenty to do on site… playground, pool, rec room, fire pits, nightly s’mores. Unfortunately, it was difficult for adults to use the spa as parents were using it teach their little ones to swim. It’s a long ride off the main road (6.5 miles), but very quiet. Cabins have the basics, but are quite dark."
Yosemite Westgate Lodge
"TV didn't work but everything else was good"
Heritage Inn Yosemite/Sonora
"Great location, close to dining"
Yosemite Lakes RV Resort
"Es un sitio muy agradable, las habitaciones super limpias, la cocina muy cómoda y con todo lo necesario, el aire acondicionado funcionaba correctamente y la atención delbstaff muy nice"
Firefall Ranch Yosemite
"What a great spot for the family. Place is superb."
