"Located on a reststop, check-in is in the gas station. The staff didn't speak English but we made it work. As a guest of the hotell you get a 25% discount on food at the reststop. Parking is behind the hotel in a secluded parking space. The hotel and rooms where very clean, fresh and quiet. Perfect as an overnight stop while traveling."

"Stayed here for one night, price was good and actually cheaper via Hotels.com than with the hotel directly. The hotel is large and grand (typical of the brand) with a huge outdoor car park with no height restrictions. Room was pleasant and clean but as is the case with all German Van Der Valk Hotels the standard room was no way near as nice as the more modern Dutch ones. Worth staying when rates are low but not when high. Be warned in summer rooms would be boiling as no AC. Good breakfast...

Very lean breakfast buffet, note even youghurt one day on my four day stay. Have stayed here about 15 nights the last 5-6 years at 4-5 occasions. The hotel is on a slippery slope downwards. Accepteble value per Euro-hotel."

"This is a lovely, modern hotel within walking distance of Sterkrade and it's shopping centre & facilities. It has a very clean/fresh feel, the staff are lovely, the beds comfortable and the garden/patio area is fab. The hotel is out of the town centre so it was disappointing to find that the hotel restaurant only serves breakfasts. That was unclear when we booked. It was also disappointing that this new hotel did not have EV chargers in the car park. Two minuses against what is otherwise a great hotel"
