Our stay at Te Dalu was exceptional. We loved that the hotel was located a little outside of Ella proper, which allowed for connection with the beautiful environment and scenery while still being convenient to the amenities of the main town. Our room faced the hillside and had a wonderful view of the temple on the hill, and in the morning with opening the balcony doors allowed us to listen to chants and the sounds of birds and monkeys while waking up. My stay at Ella Crest by Aloft was truly wonderful. The location is perfect with breathtaking views, and the property itself is very peaceful and beautifully designed. The rooms are modern, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The pool area is especially beautiful and relaxing. Overall, a fantastic experience – highly recommended for anyone visiting Ella!
This place is incredible! We were a little worried when our driver initially dropped us off with our bags at the bottom of the steep road and said the road was too tight for the minivan to get through. We walked a little further than we should have, but we found the hotel and as we were escorted to our room our mouths dropped. The room is incredible! We were 3 people, but this place was clearly meant for 6. Two king beds on either side of a little staircase that took you up to 2 single beds...
Incredible views from our room at Tunnel Top, overlooking the beautiful valley and the iconic train tracks! The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. We also loved that drinks were available for free throughout our stay.
The staff were outstanding — super friendly and genuinely accommodating. They made us drinks, helped carry our luggage up the stairs, and even arranged tuk tuk transportation into Ella for us. Their warm hospitality made our stay even better.

Stunning views, especially of the waterfall. Spacious and clean room. Our balcony was extra large! They served a very delicious breakfast for a good price. We actually enjoyed it more than when we ate in town. The internet was a problem though, it did not work or was so slow it was unusable, but thankfully we had a hot spot to take video calls for work. Would definitely recommend as long as you don’t need internet.
We didn't expect much given we were a last minute booking but the service was just over and above anything we could have expected.

Indran and John were so kind and helpful. They really made us feel at home. John''s cooking was delicious, the view from our balcony was spectacukar, and our room was clean and comfortable. We loved our stay at the Ella Alpine Resort.
This place has a gorgeous view, great hosts and delicious breakfast. The room is basic but clean and it does not matter that there is no aircon as Ella is not as hot as other places. There is a big fan if necessary. The host went above and beyond for us and even got up really early to get down to the station and buy us train tickets. We recommend this place for a picturesque, great value stay.
I decided to extend my stay as soon as I arrived. Perfect place and the price is on point. I will definitely be back again and spend more time here at this wonderful place.
