Zona Hotelera is home to Tulum Mayan Ruins and is a popular place to see in Tulum. Why not take a stroll along the beaches and watch the sunset while you're here?
Whether you want to hunt for sand dollars or smell the fresh air, Playa Paraiso is one of the most popular seaside spots located 2.2 mi (3.6 km) from central Tulum. Catch the sunset by the shore at Las Palmas Public Beach, just a short walk away.
If want to top up your tan, you might want to head out to Playa Ruinas, located 2.4 mi (3.8 km) from central Tulum. If you want to continue walking by the waves, head to Playa Paraiso located nearby.
If want to top up your tan, you might want to head out to Las Palmas Public Beach, located 2.1 mi (3.4 km) from central Tulum. Catch the sunset by the shore at Playa Paraiso, just a short walk away.
If you like art, you might want to check out the upcoming exhibitions at SFER IK in Zona Hotelera and see if there's something that takes your fancy. If you want to experience more of the culture Tulum has to offer, head to Las Palmas Public Beach, Playa Paraiso, and Tulum Beach.

Outstanding!! Can’t say how great this place is. I’ll try…..Roof top pool with city view. Full kitchen with extras. Hot tub!! But the best is the management. Responsive. He helped my time in Tulum better. I could not wait to review this place!!!

Wow!!! If you are looking to relax in nature this is the place. The hosts and staff were amazing making sure our every need was met including getting a Drs appointment for my son. They would also prepare us meals on request. At night you can enjoy the fire by the cenote with the glowing lights inside the caves. During the day the birds are very entertaining we even spotted a toucan. Honestly we can’t say enough about this heaven on earth. We will definitely be returning next year.

Truly a “little gem.” We wanted a quiet space off the town center to return to after long days exploring, and we got it. It’s still walking distance to food and convenience stores, or a short bike to the main strip. It’s not a bad drive to the beach, but if you want to do tulum beach, stay in the hotel district; if you want to explore the city and travel to nearby cities, stay at Little Gem!

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon. I thought we were going to feel regretful for not staying at a beach resort, but I'm so glad we stayed here instead. We woke up every morning and hopped on the rental bikes and rode into town (and if you're ambitious like us- the ruins, the beaches, and the cenotes- all were a bit of a hike but worth it). Once back at Tiki Tiki, we'd immediately drop our stuff, jump in the pool, and grab a carefully crafted cocktail from the bar. The whole staff...

reception was there during check-in, very nice and helpful. everything was fast and convenience. the place itself is very safe and quite. if driving, there's a gate check-in - need to let them know it's an hotel stay for them to let pass. would stay here again next time in tulum. Parking available onsite which is nice

This was a last minute trip and I must say I had absolutely a WONDERFUL time and sooooo happy I stayed here! The Staff…EVERYONE was so nice, professional, helpful, kind, sweet, and attentive. I slept very well…the bed was very comfortable. Then Matias…he did a video of me that was soooooo beautiful. I mean…I speechless as I came to do absolutely nothing…which is surprising being I always do activities and take pictures. They let me stay a lil longer for my flight. Arranged my transportation to...

This place was amazing. A little paradise in the middle of the jungle. Rooms are very big and comfortable. There 2 pools and lots of things to do. Including temezcal, sound healing, yoga etc. Staff is super friendly and always willing to help. There is laundry service available and they will always be happy to call you a cab. There is a WhatsApp number you can always reach them at and ask any questions you might have. Maria the massage therapist is amazing. Will definitely be back. Thank you

The property is great. The room was beautiful. Bed was a bit soft for my liking so I didn’t get a good sleep. But everything else was perfect.
I do have mixed feelings about the fact that it is located inside the Tulum National Park, which is a government protected area. For one, it is kind of confusing to get there because google maps still shows the entrance on the north side (near the Mayan Ruins) but access is actually on the south side (where Parque del Jaguar is located). The experience was amazing and our Host Rebecca enhanced our stay by being so nice and welcoming. The breakfast she made was made with love, I would highly recommend and will tell everyone we come across to stay here.

Our family had the privilege of being the first guests to stay at Niken. We weren’t sure what to expect with no previous reviews to go off of. We were pleasantly surprised and quickly knew we wanted to stay longer. Everything from the hosts, room, food, view, hospitality, and amenities were 10/10! We enjoyed cold AC and fresh water/coffee in the room, delicious breakfast that was included, their natural pool fed from a local cenote, and quality beach lounge chairs/huts. You can tell they thought...

I've never been to the Yucatan let alone Tulum...and I'd never booked my own vacation out of the country before. I booked 5 nights at Maria Del Mar based off of the excellent reviews, and I'm pretty proud I made the right choice. It is a hip, eco-friendly, minimalist boutique hotel in a perfect area with a GORGEOUS beach. Ugh I miss that beach now that I'm back. The service staff was always helpful and friendly to us- we had so many questions since we were new to travelling to Mexico. The shower...

This hotel has wonderful access to the beach and beach club. Sunrise is perfect and breakfast at the restaurant is included. The hotel staff, specifically Diana and Abril, were so helpful and arranged a snorkeling excursion for us. We liked that the beach club closes early (6pm) so that the area is quiet at night and not a loud party spot. Truly a paradise!

Villas de Rosa Beach Resort was great. If you're looking to escape the mega resort trap and get out on your own, this is the place for you. The staff was soooo great. A big thank you to Noel, the manager, our cleaning crew, and every staff member we encountered. They gave great recommendations of things to do and really looked after us.
The beds were very comfortable, clean rooms, and kitchen was well stocked with all that you need. The beach is perfect, powdery white and the ocean so warm....

We had a wonderful time during our stay at Casa Teka. The property is beautiful and is centrally located in the Tulum beach area but secluded enough that you aren’t kept awake by the beach clubs nearby. The team took care of all of our needs from helping to set up taxis to decorating our room for my birthday. We loved our stay and would definitely come back!
