Hotels in Downtown Ottawa

Great location - walkable. Easy parking behind the building. Well appointed guest house. Rooms are small & no extra common space to hang out. So you are either in your room or in the kitchen. Despite the white noise machine you can definitely hear the other occupants of the house. Hosts did leave ear plugs too. Delicious breakfast & lovely hosts. Very clean & modern furnishings.

I really enjoyed the breakfast. I was skeptical at first when I saw the room, but I was extremely satisfied with the taste and the ease of getting food. Space in the room is exceptional. Felt like home. Ample space for storage which would be hand if families visit. Great stay

Great stay at clean, modern conveniently located hotel.

This was my second time staying here, and the front desk remembered me from my previous stay. We arrived early and they let us check in right away. A great location right near the Byward Market, but not too close so the nightlife didn't bother our rest. A nice cozy room that is perfect for couples. Highly recommend.

Great location! We found Ottawa to be very walkable from the Alt Hotel. Their bar and bartenders is excellent, and we enjoyed a few rounds of pool as well. I would stay here again.

The room wasn't as big as the picture suggested, but it was otherwise a lovely stay

We opted for the Gold plan and loved it! Breakfast was included, small plate appetizers and canapés and then dessert served in an exclusive common room from 5:00. Excellent service. But the hotel needs some refurbishing and updating. The desk chair in our room was literally shredded. This is a premium property. A wonderful and historic and perfectly located hotel. The Fairmount needs to give it some love.

I always wonder if people's reviews are real, because I always think I woudn't take the time to write one myself. But this place is a nice, non-corporate place, with extremely friendly staff and clean, cool, decor, that made me feel like it was worth it to recommending. In walking distance from everything. When I go back to Ottowa I will be staying there again.

Excellent location and staff

We'd definitely stay again! The location is perfect if your priorities are seeing Parliament and experiencing the amazing restaurants and shops on Elgin street. We visited in February and everything we wanted to see/do was within a 25 min walk. The staff were really lovely and happy to make recommendations -- especially the valets. The pool and hot tub are nice. Only drawback(s) were we thought all rooms came with robes and slippers, which we were looking forward to for before/after the pool...

We spent 2 nights at the Moxy during Labour Day weekend. Great location , fresh and clean hotel. Staff were great and friendly. Didn’t get a chance to eat at the restaurant. Only a couple of things to comment from a design perspective only because I do renovation work myself and do not expect changes. 1. The dark light switches on dark wall background difficult to see. 2. the split of the 2 beds divided by restroom in between is great design however the accent lighting has 1 switch only at door...

This is my second time staying at the Marriott Downtown. I highly recommend it.
