"Great price for Vancouver. Neighbourhood had lots of food options. Modern entry into hotel room has no keys needed, and everyone is given a code. Staff were very friendly and helpful suggested places to eat in area. The hotel is super clean and the beds are comfortable. Furniture was a little dated, but that does not bother me. You can tell that some renovations are being done, but it did not disrupt our stay."

"The day I was to arrive, the hotel messaged me...we are overbooked, and are moving you to another property. 5 miles from where I desired to be. Upon arrival, I learned 2 other guests were also displaced. The manager didn't speak English. Required all communication via txt. She hung up on me. Shared bathroom. Kitchen area a total disaster. No cups , or coffee/tea service. Never did see any staff. Sink full of dishes. I'm not sure the back door was ever closed/locked overnight. Didn't feel very...

"Hotel is a little dated but other than that, it was a pleasant experience. Staff were friendly, beds were comfortable, room was very clean and it was quiet. The free continental breakfast is a nice addition. This place is a budget friendly alternative if you don't want to stay downtown and a only a short drive to Stanley Park where you can visit the aquarium, see the totem poles and enjoy the Vancouver Seawall. There is also a little Cafe across the street that serves up amazing deli sandwiches....

"I was in town for a concert and stayed here for one night and would stay here again. The check in process was very smooth, friendly staff. The damage deposit fee was returned to my card within 24 hours after checkout. Not everyone may be comfortable with the neighborhood, I was chatting with a lady from New Zealand in the lobby and she was shocked about seeing so many homeless people. I was expecting it as I am familiar with East Vancouver so it didn't bother me and I didn't feel unsafe. I stayed in the youth traveler room which was very tiny but it was clean and functional. The bed was very comfy. There is also a nice little pub next store and you get a 10 % discount with your stay. I recommend the cheddar ale soup."

"A friend and I stayed 2 nights at the Cambie Lodge. The house was well-kept and the front yard was nice. The location was ideal-right in the middle of where we wanted to be. Fans were provided, however there is no air conditioning in the house. Wifi in the separate bedroom wasn't great. We didn't have any issues with the parking; we were able to park in the driveway both nights. My bed was comfortable and fine; my friend's bed was uncomfortable and not to her satisfaction. I enjoyed having the kitchenette and mini fridge in our suite. Breakfast was good; however, we hadn't anticipated having to travel to the next house to partake. All the staff were friendly. There were a lot of stairs-about 10 steps to get into the house; more stairs to go up or go down from that main level."
