The Puteaus Palace is hands down the most incredible place my husband and I have ever stayed! We made a visit for our honeymoon this year and the architectural details, landscape design, staff, food, rooms and amenities are impeccable! We never wanted to leave and considered cancelling the rest of our trip to extend for several more weeks.
Sadly, the COVID pandemic has forced them to close early this year but as soon as they reopen next year I would run to this absolutely incredible hotel....
This is a family business. The staffs were very nice, friendly and very helpful. The hotel picked me up and drove me to the bus station, which was very helpful. The location and the view of the hotel are unbeateble, both the river and of course the sea view. 5-10 min walking along the river to reach the sandbeach.
The view of the canyons from the beach/ocean ist unbelievable. Very quite location.
I am planning to come back and to stay at the Hotel Villa Dvor again.
One of the better surprises. Used to regular oldness from the hotel staff elsewhere in Croatia, the receptionist here was full of smiles and extremely helpful. So were the other staff. A bit kitchy living room furniture design is completely forgotten if you get one of the apartments overlooking the beach. They have lovely terraces, ideal for drinking wine and people watching.
I have never been at a hotel that I’ve had such a strong desire to return to. I am planning on booking two weeks next year as soon as I get home and look at my schedule. Nothing but positive things to say about this hotel! It blew my mind

Because of its location on Marjan Hill, it can be a little difficult to find without GPS. We left our car parked and walked up and down to the Riva. If you aren't in reasonably good shape, you might find this to be a problem. But, once you get there, you will find a marvelous hotel. Clean, well run, wonderful staff, good bar, nice swimming pool (and I'm not much for swimming). The breakfast buffet is good and you can tell they take pride in their work. If you’re going to visit Split, you should consider just one place to stay. This place has it all. Location, great service, nearby parking, stunning views, and a staff that is beyond. Jan was a perfect tour guide and host. Ana was always there with great directions and a smile. The breakfast was lovely and ample. If I could give it 6 stars I would. This boutique hotel worked perfectly for our three nights in Spilt. It is so convenient and easy to get to from the ferry terminal/train station. It was a 3 minute walk to the market and then into the palace walls. As I watched people dragging their suitcases through the palace looking for their accommodations I was so thankful I was staying where I was. The communication from the staff was excellent and their attentiveness to requests was outstanding. The breakfast served in the courtyard...
The staff was excellent! I had food poisoning from a local restaurant and the lady at the front desk was very kind and looked up a local pharmacy for me to get electrolytes. The lobby was large and accommodating for baggage, the room was large, new and stylish with brick walls, nice bedding and renovated surroundings. I would definitely stay here again.
3 night stay in this lovely boutique hotel. Great room that combined modern comforts in bedding, air conditioning (much needed in Croatian summer) and bathroom with ancient touches (exposed walls of old building). Staff also helpful and warm to a person--everyone we interacted with from the owner to the bellhop was friendly and engaging. Truly enjoyed our stay.
