8/10 Good
"Spent one night on our way through Saskatoon. Nice location, safe, good parking. Breakfast was good. Kids loved the pool! Beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. Only complaint was the AC in our room was filthy and did not work well at all! Plus there was an odd smell coming from the bathroom once and awhile that smelled like sewage."
"Having heard about the bed bug breakout in Saskatoon recently, I was careful at chosing a hotel, methodically reading 100's of hotel reviews. Sandman delivered on clean, new comfy mattress and an incredibly helpful staff. What it lacked was a pool that was long enough to actually swim in...it's perfect for bored children. It also lost a star on the AC that doesn't shut up! Loudest I've ever heard. The Sandman needs to update drapes, rugs etc. I felt I'd stepped into the 1990's. When you're paying almost $200. a night you expect more than clean and friendly."
"This hotel was fine, it was clean and the staff was good.
There was a bit of evidence that things were starting to slip eg. A toilet paper holder from the 1960’s,
A heater cover falling off and some water that was accessible from the front desk area would have been nice."
"Good hotel, Perfect location. Breakfast is a little rocky, as it's understaffed and the kitchen is a one man show, but the people working were helpful and did their best. Would stay again."
"I was put in a room near where many guests choose to smoke and a strong smell of smoke kept getting into our room we shared with our toddler and baby. The area was also high traffic and lots of noise as smokers passed by as late as 2am and starting at 430am. The staff was great and willing to move us for our second night, but we chose to leave early after the bad experience."
